Electricity is supplied by the national grids line of 220 KV – Hoa Binh - Thanh Hoa – Vinh. At Vinh there is a power distribution station 220/110KV with capacity of 1*125MVA and a transformer of 110/35/10KV with capacity of 2*25MVA. Three networks with different voltages cover entire areas of the city: 35KV network of 30.2 km long; 10KV of 39 km, and 6KV network of 44 km long.

Main fuels source for consumption of city’s residents are petrol, gasoline and gas. There is a company namely Nghe Tinh Petroleum Company (no. 4 Nguyen Six Sach Road, Hung Binh Compound Tel: Director: 844220, Deputy Director: 844310) with more than 20 fuel stations is capable to meet with all customer’s need.
